One of Square Enix's big surprises from last month's Tokyo Game Show was a general release time frame for Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep. A trailer for the game listed a "January 2010" release period, a bit more specific than the previously announced winter time frame.
They might as well have shared the full date then, as all the details arrived today. Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep will hit Japan on January 9, 2010, Square Enix announced. The game will be priced at 6,090 yen, making it about 10 dollars more than most PSP games, but in line with major Square Enix PSP releases.
Joining the release date, Square Enix shared a bunch of new screenshots and gave the game's official site a major update.
