If you keep up with our weekly Japanese sales reports, you've probably come to the conclusion that the Japanese have stopped buying games. We might have agreed -- until we saw the latest charts from Media Create.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days sold an impressive 295,205 units in its first two days of sales, Media Create reported today. An impressive figure to be sure, but nearly as impressive was the 171,940 unit debut for Ace Attorney Investigations, Capcom's Phoenix Wright series spinoff.

Here's what the full top ten looks like for May 25 to May 31.

* 1. Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (Square Enix, DS): 295,205
* 2. Ace Attorney Investigations (Capcom, DS): 171,940
* 3. Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires (Koei, PS3): 75,859
* 4. Sloan and McHale's Mysterious Story (Level-5, DS): 32,865
* 5. Hero 30 (Marvelous, PSP): 26,451
* 6. Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni Kizuna Vol.3 (Alchemist, DS): 22,876
* 7. Utawareru Mono Portable (Aqua Plus, PSP): 21,682
* 8. H.A.W.X. (Ubisoft, PS3): 19,115
* 9. Let's Make a Pro Baseball Team! 2 (Sega, DS): 17,083
* 10. Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires (Koei, X360): 16,528

Both Kingdom Hearts and Ace Attorney were released alongside special DSi hardware bundles. Not surprisingly, DSi was the top selling platform for the week, outselling the PSP two to one, and nearly topping all other platforms combined!

Here's the full hardware chart. Last week's sales are in parenthesis:

* DSi: 65,537 (33,833)
* PSP: 32,251 (27,536)
* Wii: 17,810 (16,233)
* PS3: 12,427 (10,932)
* DS Lite: 7,519 (5,631)
* Xbox 360: 4,857 (3,854)

I'm surprised, that KH is a god over at Japan.

Same, for me since KH is kind of American with the Disney Characters.

Kingdom Hearts kicks ass. It deserves to be God there... and here... Anyway, I wonder if they'll make a remake since EVERY Kingdom Hearts game had a remake.
