Hi, Kirby Leaf here,For my first review,I'm going to review Kirby Mass Attack for Nintendo DS! (note:I'm only in world 3,so i havent finished it yet)

Kirby Mass Attack is the 4th DS Kirby Game. I have all 4 (5 if you count my othere KSSU copy) of them and theyre some of my favorite games. After all, Kirby is my 2nd favorite series, next to Mario!

Kirby Mass Attack is no exception. It is a fantastic game that seems like a cross between Kirby Canvas Curse and Pikmin.

STORY
Kirby was vacationing on the Popopo(Trivia: Popopo was originally going to be Kirby's Name) Islands when some shadowy skull guy called Necrodeus attacks him, Splitting him into 10 Kirbys.Only 1 Survives. Kirby chases after Necrodeus to get his wand thingy to make himself Whole again.

I like this story 8/10

GAMEPLAY
This game has you controlling 10 Kirby's with Kirby's heart (looks more like a warp star to me) via the Stylus. It is a 2D sidescrolling game with strategy and puzzles. The Gameplay is Kinda like Pikmin, and Canvas Curse. which i mentioned earlier. It is extremely fun and only takes a while to get used to!

The gameplay is excellent 10/10!

GRAPHICS
When I first saw this game in screenshots and Trailers,I thought they werent going to be that good.
Well, I was completely wrong! The sprite graphics are really good, with some details I've been waiting for for a long time (FINALLY, RAIN!)
And there are even some enemies which spew sand all over and Turn everything to silhouettes (Like DKCR sunset level)
The game can look cute at times(1-2),other times really creepy(1-4)

While not as good as Canvas Curse,It has really good sprite graphics. 8.5/10

CONTROLS
I usually hate touch screen controls (I'm looking at you, phantom hourglass!) But this, along with canvas curse,is an exception!

The controls really work good for this game, whether its 1 or 10 kirbys. You hold down on the screen for the heart-star thing, and the Kirbys follow it,or double-tap to run. Tap an enemy and they dogpile it and [it looks like] they rape it to death!

You flick to make them jump and smash into things.the only minor problem is this(the flicking) is sometimes not responsive,But I got used to it!

Best Touch-screen controls i've seen in a while! 9.5/10

MUSIC/ AUDIO

This game has excellent music! From catchy ruins music to overly sad cave music to the good ol' dedede theme, this game has it all. From the day I got it,the music has been stuck in my head(I mean that in a good way) Even the pittering of rain sounds awesome!

I wish I had this on my Ipod so I could listen to it all day! 10/10

VARIETY

Kirby Mass Attack has alot to offer, nothing seems repetitive, and theres always something new around the corner!
It has even more variety than Kirby's Epic Yarn. In one level, you have to rescue some baby birds from some evil fly egg things and take them to their mini-boss mother. If you get hit, they fall of you and start crying! (sound familiar? *cough Yoshi *cough*) In another one,you surf on a star, and in another one,you Fly a hot-air balloon trying to avoid some hugeass gordos. It even has a tank you can contol! Even funner than KEY's tank in my opinion

This has so much new stuff! 10/10

CHARM
I love the little details like how the Kirbys look like theyre tripping over each other when they run(:
Or How the cactus enemies look like theyre high XD
And of course,the rain

even the little things matter 10/10

ENEMIES
I love the enemies! Theyre everything you could ask for! Kirby games have always had my favorite enemies (Even the best thing ever,Waddle Dees!)
One new enemy is called a BeanBon,which is like a cute turnip thing. It's so fun to make all your kirbys get on it and pummel them >
biggrin.gif

Theyre also very well animated too, with perfect death faces

Best enemies since Mario & Luigi: Super Star Saga 10/10

BOSSES
The Bosses are unlike anything I've fought in a videogame before. And theyre amazing! Theyre all new ideas,Even Whispy Woods' fight is all new and better than ever. But the thing that really got me is the Mini-Bosses Theres alot of them, each one good enough t be a full-fledged end of world boss!

Best bosses In a long time! 10/10

REPLAY VALUE
I enjoyed doing the same stage over 10 times! Theres medals in each stage, and A rank system. Good luck getting everything gold starred!
And the extras(below) can be played forever and they never get boring!

EXTRA CONTENT
Ho. Ly. Crap. The extra minigames are amazing! The big ones are Kirby Brawl Ball, which is an addicting pinball game complete with bosses,Strato Patrol EOS,an awesome vertical shooter with lots of different enemies and bosses, and Kirby Quest,an RPG like game that if you watch Kirby Right Back at Ya, you'll be amazed.
Heres a mini-review

Field Frenzy(whack a mole) 7/10
Dash Course 3/10 (not very fun)
Kirby Brawl Ball 9/.510
Kirby Curtain Call 4/10
Strato Patrol EOS 10/10
Kirby Quest 9/10

Overall, these extras are enough to be a whole game(or at least a downloadable one) 10/10

NOSTALGIA
I'm not gonna spoil it,but if youre a Kirby fan, you'll have a nostalgia overload! Especially from the extras!
One thing was Moley from Kirby & the Amazing Mirror.I loved seeing that mole back!
10/10

OVERALL
This game is a must-buy for Kirby fans or anyone wo likes sidescrolling games!
It's completely Amazing! If you get one more DS game,Make it this!

Wow, that was a really detailed review Kirby Leaf! Thank you for posting that, sounds like lotsa fun, and I'm going to have to try hunt it down too, I've been looking at it, but now it sounds like it is worth the munnies.

And Kirby Leaf is right, the more reviews, the merrier!
