The latest issue of Famitsu has a first report on Ougon no Kizuna, a new Wii action RPG from Jaleco.
In Ougon no Kizuna, you take control of main character Lian in intense battles that make heavy use of the Wiimote's pointing capabilities. You use the nunchuck to move about, and target enemies by directly pointing with the Wiimote. From there, it's all about mashing buttons for combos and special attacks. The game puts players up against large groups of enemies, as well as massive bosses.
In addition to the main story, which is split into chapters, you'll find over 100 quests to help pass the time. These quests actually appear to be a central part of the game, whose theme revolves around the bonds Lian form with people of the world (the game's title translates to "Golden Bonds").
The title is drawing attention in particular due to some of its staff members. Miwa Shouda, who previously worked on Final Fantasy XII, Saga Frontier, and Legend of Mana, is working on the game's scenario. Yoichi Kawaguchi, of Little King Story and Dragon Quest VIII fame, is serving as director and programmer.
Ougon no Kizuna will hit the Japanese Wii this Winter.

sounds like a good addition to the Wii.
