Kyou kara maoh

I have watched 12 episodes of this anime and....well...it's not bad but I don't get why it is so popular in the first place.
It's got 75+25+ some other episodes too.
It's gonna take me a while to complete this.
Anyone watched this here?

Long series generally get good plot and character development cause of the duration and such.
I do prefer long anime most of the time for that very reason.
But kyou kara maoh is an exception. It's not that great.
