2K announced the final piece of dowloadable content for BioShock 2 called Minerva's Den. The content is described as a "self-contained narrative experience" that will put players in the role of an all-new character.
This time, you'll be teaming up with Brigid Tenenbaum as you'll be tasked with overthrowing a dictator in one of Rapture's districts. New weapons and plasmids will be available, and players will encounter more dangerous Splicers, upgraded Security Bots and a "never-before-seen type of Big Daddy."
"Minerva's Den is a substantial addition that will give players more of what they're looking for: more story, more narrative, more gameplay and more of Rapture," said 2K president Christoph Hartmann in a statement.
"The core team has created an exciting product that further enhances the mystery and allure of the world of Rapture. Minerva's Den will be a fitting conclusion to the BioShock 2 saga."
Minerva's Den will be available for download this fall on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. No pricing details were announced.
