Last Exile -Fam The Silver Wing

Not sure why this anime got a sequel when the first one ended so well, but it did and it was a pretty great season, just as good as the first with awesome music to it. Though I still have no idea how their world works geographic wise but there is still a story to be told, of what happens when children get involved in war. Though the anime could have used a few more episodes to flesh things out, but in the end its pretty good. My only issue is there is stuff between this and the first season that doesn't make it into the anime, so some things may confuse season 1 watchers or those who took the time to watch the season 1 recap episode.

I just saw this as a spin-off rather than a direct sequel. It was nice seeing the Last Exile world, technologies and politics again, the three main things that made me like the first. Its been a while but I also recall it being less dark than the first? Feels like I need a rewatch.

yeah, kind of can't be a direct sequel I guess since they skipped a bunch of the story. But it is dark, though the world is more colorful than the first one, but the dark story elements are still there.
