Intro:
Now some people might be a bit skeptical about this game, mainly for two reasons; one it is a Lego game, two, it is a Harry Potter game. But as you actually get into it, you will find that it actually has lots of effort put into it! But more on that later. Plus it really fits since the last movie comes out tomorrow on DVD and Blu-Ray today.

Story:
This game's story is based around the first four Harry Potter movies and books; Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Askaban, and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. If your a fan of the books and the movies, then it is quite easy to catch on to what's happening. Although if you have never touched a Harry Potter book in your life, (which you should probably do!) it would seem like utter nonsense! I absolutely love the story of the franchise, but this game didn't do a good job of portraying them through the speechless cutscenes.

Graphics:
I love good graphics, even though it doesn't make the game, it sure does add to it! I would say that Lego Harry Potter did just an okay job with them. If you have seen the trailer for this game, there is a high chance that you've seen the beautiful HD graphics of the Xbox version, not the less polished graphics of the Wii version! If you compare them, you can see that they've polished the figures and gave them the extra pizazz they needed them in the Xbox version, but they don't look as shiny and new in the Wii version. The developers could have given it just a little tweaking like they did with star wars and Indiana jones, but they didn't and so it just looks decent now.

Gameplay:
If you have played a Lego game before, you think destroy, collect, destroy, collect, like always. But with this game the developers gave it the little jazz that it needed! It kept the same formula, but gave it a spell system, a fresh new list of lovable characters, and most of all, a bigger hub! The game can be played with two players and it's lots more fun to play with another person, because most of the time, the levels will rely on teamwork and you can't really depend on the idiotic A.I in this game. Sure they are a lot more smarter in This game then all of the other Lego games but they will still make suicidal jumps and sometimes won't help you defeat enemies. It can get annoying but overall, the gameplay is really tremendous!

Content:
I guess the time it takes to beat the game stretches out to two weeks to a whole month depending on how much time you have, maybe even less. But it has lots of things to keep you interested, it has lots of unlockables and collectables that will take you a while to figure out so thats good. Plus if you 100% the game there is a surprise awaiting for you!

The Verdict:
Lego Harry Potter is a good game, I would say that even if you are not a potter fan, you would still find some enjoyment in this game! So overall I give this game a 9/10 score with the title of Awesome!

Hey, good review! I know somebody said I should get it, but I was sceptical, just like you mentioned right away, heh.

Sounds like a decent game anyway, I might have to give it a second chance next time I see it, maybe rent or something.

Hmm..I have lego star wars and don't really like this. But this review makes the lego games not sound all that bad.
