Have you heard of KKND2 Krossfire? No? Well, I almost forgot it myself and I had to search long and hard in Google in order to get the name (because the name sucks). Despite the lack of popularity, I loved the game. Yes, it looked like a clone of Red Alert, but it had very interesting factions (The Survivors, Evolved and Series 9) which had different units. Better yet, the game allowed two player split screen Co-op or vs! It was very very fun to play.

What lesser known PS1 games do you enjoy playing?

I really didn't have any lesser PS1 titles, since money was tight I only had what was popular.

But I think the tetris game on the PS1 that had a professor character on it was pretty good and wasn't popular.

My picks would be Kagero where you set traps as a demon trying to catch/kill humans and Puzzle Fighter which is like Doctor Mario but with Street Fighter characters instead, I've played with these games again recently and they surprisingly still hold up, at least in my opinion. Of course, there are some drawbacks such as the controls not being that advanced yet, but they are still very much playable which is more than I can say for even some of the more popular titles.

I'm not sure if this game is lesser known but since I don't often hear people taking about it here it is - Brave Fencer Musashi. It is and action RPG of sorts with puzzle elements (if I remember correctly), developed by Square. Never got the chance to finish the game since I played it in a PlayStation web cafe many years ago but I have many fond memories of it.

I didn't spend a ton of time on PS1 games, seeing as how I had a PS2. However, I did spend a lot of time playing Spiderman on the PS1. It wasn't an exclusive, it was also on the N64 but I love that game. It's pretty cheap, if I remember correctly.

Spiderman was the best, I played that endlessly!  Funny some of the games that catch our fancy to the point that we become obsessed over them.  Great entertainment though.

Ah yes, Brave Fencer Musashi. I dunno if it's popular or not but I've played the game before too. It's made by Square and was released in the same year as Xenogears. It was a great action-RPG. The only problem that the game had was that it had a childish plot.

Oh speaking of fencer, have you tried Bushido Blade? It was a strikingly realistic vs game with swords... Another lesser known title that I love.

Probably armoured core is a bit more well known now (but still not that well known!). But I bought that just in case it was good and got caught up in the world of giant mecha! Customisable giant mecha! Very good game!
