Your Mario Kart skills are admirable, but I have to be honest and say your commentary needs work. A lot of work, I could barely hear much of it and for long stretches of the video you didn't even say anything.
Also, how are you holding the camera? Because you say it's awkward and it seems like it must be awkward as hell to try and record a 3DS game, so how you doing this? I presume it's kind of affected your video game skills significantly...
camera is on a stand about 15 centimeters away from the 3ds so I am holding the 3ds in a claw like fashion, with my fingers stretched out and my hand barely touching it. next time I will make sure I am in a comfortable position before I start. Also thanks for the criticism. I will try to do better on the commentary next time.
I know some of the professionals like to record the video and audio separately. I don't know if that appeals to you but it might make it easier to keep the commentary clear and interesting since you'd be able to do multiple takes. Of course, it also means more time spent both recording and editing, but it might appeal to you.
then it becomes a gameplay video with commentary, not an lp. Lp's will generally just be on the spot commentary as you play and anything the person making it wants to talk about.
