sourceLate last year, TMZ reported that actress Lindsay Lohan was prepping a lawsuit against developer Rockstar over the use of her likeness in Rockstar's critical and commercial smash-hit game Grand Theft Auto V.
Today, that lawsuit has been confirmed.
The AP reports that Lohan is suing the developer because GTAV "used her image and created a character based on her without her permission." The suit was filed in New York City, the hometown of Rockstar.
Lohan's lawsuit cites fictional character Lacey Jonas as an "unequivocal" reference to the actress.
Lohan rose to prominence following her starring role in the 1998 remake of the classic film The Parent Trap, and created a slew of hit movies -- Freaky Friday, Mean Girls, and others -- before running into multiple legal issues over the past few years.
I thought this was swept under the rug with the other lawsuits.
