LinkedIn - do you use it?

I've heard of it back in high school, but I never really looked into it. I'm not even really sure what it is or what its used for.

Oh is it? I forgot that my employer is covering my Premium access. I guess I really should be taking advantage of these perks. ^^;

Lucky.

That's a pretty accurate description. Most are pretty good at keeping things professional. Occasionally people will try to post political things however, people are generally concerned with the impression to put out there and they don't want to offend anyone as it could come around and bite them professionally.

I have it but I am not all that active on LinkedIn, I created account on the social media just to seek for connections, prospective end buyers to purchase my products. I am trying to be active and using it to promote my digital products.

I've got an account but I never use it, its full of the most self important pretentious people going. Ugh.

This. I need to suffer through the most braindead takes by clout chasers and terminal bootlickers who want to be noticed for their ass kissing. It's way more rage inducing than you'd imagine because If I type something my entire network sees it so I just cannot and there's no dislike button either.
It's a safe space for bosses and shitty HRs who want to gloat about how they exploit and screw their workers without getting told to fuck off.

A couple of years ago, I was very active on LinkedIn but these days I am not. I think last time I checked LinkedIn was a couple of months ago.

I've tried and failed to use LinkedIn several times. And these days, with the horrific job market, ghost jobs, and collecting your data, I question it's true usefulness.

To be honest, it's hard to trust anything these days.
I think applying through company portals is the only way to actually get trusted calls for jobs -.-"

Then you've got companies like the one I work for that has EVERY SINGLE POSITION listed as available on their careers page. You literally either need to throw a dart at a wall and hope for the best, or genuinely know somebody at your target corporation. This job market totally sucks.

Job market has gotten bad, and in certain areas (like game design), it has completely tanked.
