LittleBigPlanet Teams with FF VII and MGS 4

Sony is giving Sack Boy some major backup as he makes that terrifying trip to the East for LittleBigPlanet's October 30 Japanese release. During a stage event at the Tokyo Game Show today, the company announced a couple of major tie-ups for the title.

Following its release, LittleBigPlanet will be updated with items from Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy VII. These items will come in the form of paid expansion packs.

December will see the release of the LittleBigPlanet Metal Gear Solid Pack, giving players access to an Old Snake themed costume called "Libbits Snake."

This will be followed at an undisclosed point by the LittleBigPLanet Final Fantasy VII Pack, which will feature a Sephiroth-themed costume.

Both packs will include other items as well. Specifics, and pricing information, were not revealed today.
