While years past may have been centered about giving consumers bigger, grandiose control products for their PC, recent trends seem to be shifting toward more of a minimalist approach. Falling in line with this market shift, Logitech announced today their latest attempt to make PC gaming simpler and more efficient, the G13 Advanced Gameboard. The G13 features an ergonomically minded design that uses an arched wrist rest and curved keypad to keep users at the top of their game during extended sessions.
The G13 Advanced Gameboard features three game modes, 25 programmable keys and analog stick, for up to 87 different ways to control any game. The G13 can be programmed to have distinct game profiles for each of your favorite titles via included software. What's more, users can program macros into the G13 on the fly without having to exit a game. To further aid players, Logitech has included a 160-by-43-pixel LCD display that can give users up-to-date CPU readouts, game stats, and messages. Additionally, users can customize the backlighting for the display and 25 built-in keys with any color in the spectrum.
When you've sufficiently tweaked the G13 to your liking, you can then save your settings to the controller's onboard memory, which lets you save up to five different profiles.
The Logitech G13 is shipping this month across the U.S. and Europe and will retail for $79.99.
