Get an exclusive look at Mad Catz' upcoming powerful and open Android Micro Console, codenamed Project M.O.J.O.
I read on a game blog that the Mojo will have access to the Google Play, and Amazon App store, so you won't need to buy games you already bought on Play, and Amazon again since the Mojo has Google Play and Amazon App store built-in. The console will also only be around $99 or more like the Ouya.

I like the name MOJO for this console.

It also uses a Tegra 4 by Nvidia which is one of the fastest CPU and video card combos also found on the Project Shield by Nvidia. The controller for the Mojo looks pretty good, and kinds of reminds me of the 360 controller which I find pretty good, and easy to hold for hours.

I'm guesing the next generation of console sellers will be the big 3 (MS, Sony, and Nintendo), the family of smaller Google Android consoles like Mojo and handhelds like the Wikipad , and possibly Apple TV if Apple releases a gamepad controller which works for iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, and Apple TV.

I bet Nyko, Pelican, Gamestop, and other console accessory makers, and stores would make Google Android game consoles if Android consoles become mildly successful since Android devices don't require companies to build an OS, software, or even design the hardware in many cases since Android works on already available hardware like the Raspberry Pi, and the tons of cheap mobile computers for tablets, and mini-computers. Plus, the free Android operating system is maintained by Google, Linux, and volunteers.

The same could be true for Third-party controllers and accessories which many companies like Madcatz, Nyko, Pelican, and Gamestop make for consoles thinking that their third party controllers and accessories will be successful.

I think the reason for all of these new consoles showing up all of the sudden is because companies no longer need to make their own Operating System, and design Console Hardware since Google Android is made by Google, and Nvidia  and other hardware companies already designed the console hardware which is the Nvidia Tegra 3-4, so these new Google Android console makers are middle men sales companies who mainly promote, and sell the same or very similar consoles with different cases preloaded with Google Android, Tegra 3-4, and a Bluetooth controller like how most PC companies like HP, and Dell just use regular computer parts like RAM, CPU, SSD, etc to build PCs, and load Windows onto them to sell to PC buyers at a higher price than building a PC to install Windows by themselves with a bunch of computer parts, and a Windows Install CD.

Alternative Consoles and Accessories may not sell a lot compared to more popular consoles, and first-party accessories, but Madcatz, Nyko, and Pelican are still in buisness even though they sell fewer controllers, and accessories than Sony, MS, and Nintendo because Mad Catz is a smaller company with fewer expenses like employees, taxes, and utilities, and they sell stuff for PC, Wii, Wii U, PS3, Xbox 360, and older consoles which can add up to a lot of sales.

Plus, Madcatz might be worried that the Xbox One, PS4, and Wii U all don't sell well because of the rumurs of No Used games, Online-Only, and Kinect Spying features which might make fewer people buy consoles, so they won't be buying Madcatz controllers, headphones, and other accessories made by Madcatz. Madcatz designing a console would mean they can make money from console sales, and accessories like extra controllers, motion controllers, memory cards, mics, headsets, and bigger hard drives.

Xbox One, PS4, and Wii U can also release an update making Madcatz controller not work anymore on their consoles.

I like that the market is growing, but it is overkill now. I feel like the crash of 1983 is spoon gonna repeat itself.

If there is a games crash, it will have a smaller impact than the past since PC and Mobile gaming supports Gamepad controllers, and Steambox which is a Gaming PC console which works with gamepad controllers. Steambox will be made by more than one PC builder like Alienware, HP, Dell, etc according to rumors I read online.

Plus, all the new consoles using Google Android can be a good since even if one or more Console company closes down, owners of the consoles can still use Google Play, Amazon App Stores, TegraZone, and other App stores to buy, and install games.

They can also backup their games, and load them onto other Android consoles, tablets, and Smartphones instead of being stuck with a lot of games which are no longer playable because their console like a Sega Dreamcast broke, and it is no longer in stores.

The Internet now has Online App stores like Google Play, Apple App Store, and PC download stores likes GOG.com and Valve's Steam service which will survive even if there is a games crash since a lot of Indie Developers, and gaming companies will publish games as digital downloads for PC, Android, Mac, iOS, and Linux. Online App stores will most likely survive since they are run by Google, Apple, Valve, and Amazon, and storing games online for people to buy on App stores and PC download stores isn't as expensive as making millions of game discs, and hoping people will buy them for $60.00 dollars.

I also doubt it would crash, but I think there are many places like Mexico, India and Russia where cheaper consoles might attract enough gamers to keep smaller cheaper consoles going. There are already a lot of game companies like EA, SquareEnix, Gameloft, Rockstar, etc which are making games for iOS, and Android, so poorer people may just buy older games, and a cheap Android console for less money to play older games which they never played before on cheaper devices before.

The PS4, and Xbox One can't play all older games like Grand Theft Auto : Vice City because of no backwards compatibility.

A lot of people may buy cheaper consoles for emulators since it is hard to find consoles like the N64, SNES, PSX, etc to play older games, but there are emulators on PC, iOS and Android to play older game ROMs on.

Cheaper consoles probably won't make a lot of cash, but enough cash to pay designers, factory workers, and  to promote cheaper consoles on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Blogs and other free and cheaper forms of advertising, so people will know about them.
