Great news today for all you Wii players out there: via press release, Mad Catz has announced their new Wii charging system, the first officially licensed charger for the Wii. Officially called the SANYO Inductive Charging System, it features two rechargable battery packs and is fully compatible with the Wii MotionPlus and Mad Catz own REACTOR Wii controller.
The user is able to charge two Wii controllers without having to remove protective covers or the Wii MotionPlus accessory.
From the press release:
Other cool features are an automatic shut-off switch if the system detects that the charge is being interrupted, and the system plugs directly into the Wii itself, eliminating the need for an external power supply.

From the press release:
"The breakthrough charging system makes use of SANYO’s unique ‘’eneloop’ battery technology, which enables hundreds of charges and which is proven to retain 85% of initial charge, even after a full year of use, while conventional NiMH batteries lose 50%. Coupled with the ability to recharge and re-use over and over again, low self-discharge make ‘eneloop’ batteries the perfect choice for long-term intermittent use."
