Box office projections are pitting the Marvel superhero movie Madame Web as the worst opening weekend for Sony's expanding Spider-Man Universe.

According to long-range box office tracking, it appears that audiences are just not interested in Sony's latest Spider-Man spinoff film. According to Boxoffice Pro, Sony's upcoming spider superhero team-up movie is currently tracking to earn between $25 million and $35 million on its opening weekend, which, if true and the film does fall in between that range, would mark the lowest opening weekend yet for Sony's SSU (Sony's Spider-Man Universe).

The Movie Bombed. Read from Comic Book news:

The Madame Web box office has bombed big time with an estimated $25.8 million opening — and that’s for a six-day weekend, not the normal three-day weekend.

The number could go up or down depending on what Madame Web does on Monday, a holiday, but the amount will be negligible.
