You might give the sports gaming genre short shrift, but the fact of the matter is that Madden NFL '08 is the highest selling game on the market, occupying three of the top four sales spots on the charts, and blowing away competition left and right. As a matter of fact, the XBox 360 version of the game, which is number one on the sales chart, has sold almost double the amount of copies of the next closest title, which is Bioshock.
We say this for two reasons. One, because it's true, and it's one of those things you might not think would be the case, so you look at it, and you're all like, "Wow...I didn't know that Madden was that popular." And, two, we tell you this because Madden doesn't get the respect it deserves from the community, even though it clearly kills where it counts...at the cash register.
