Well I'm just blasting through this series, finished Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's which is the second season in the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha series. I also post a trailer to give an insight, but for whatever reason, youtube doesn't have one. So anyways, A's is considered the best in the series and I can see why, the art and animation is easily 100 times better than the first season and the story keeps you wanting more with lots of flashy battles to make the 25 min episodes feel like mere seconds. The thing I liked most is how they went about weapon upgrades for this season.

I would say this is easily a series most should be watching as I'm loving it so far.

I remember when I first watched this series (over ten years ago). The first season (TOS) was kinda slow. It had its moments of emotional tugging, but I remember watching A's on my iPod Touch, staying up until 4:30 in the morning, on a work day. I was totally addicted! I couldn't get enough. By far, A's is still my favorite anime all these years later (obviously, *points at avatar*)

And there's just something about the OP song that really gets your blood pumping for adventure. I really loved the blend of the musical styles of rock instruments with classical violins. I also loved the variety of spells used (the magical girls have an arsenal of magical attacks, not just a single magical attack used over and over again (looking at you Sailor Moon, etc), and since I watched anime such as Sailor Moon after Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha (MGLN), I'm biased, perhaps even a little spoiled?

MGLN also left me with anticipation as I felt it was more of a story of evolution, rather than the typical Monster of the Week (MotW) that I been inundated with. MotW seemed to be the go-to standard in many anime.

Agreed, the OPs are great, I have them on my phone :)
