Unfortunate and sad news to any anime torrenter out there, a few days ago the torrent site Nyaa suddenly went offline, taking all seeding files with it. Nyaa was the most major site out there, so it comes to no surprise that it was eventually taken offline, which if rumors are to be believed, Nyaa servers were based in the EU which is about to pass a law that would come down hard on any owner of such file servers ans its believed the owner pulled the plug.
ANN focuses a bit why this might have happened. Though many fans in the community torrent reddit that they will rebuild Nyaa and resume operations soon since Nyaa was a free open community that hosted many HD files from new to hard to find old series.
