The topic, is curiosity, more specifically, mine
So, I was just wondering, what is the longest time between a single game being released in any two regions, not counting re-releases? Where it's between Japan and US, Australia and Europe, US and Europe, doesn't matter.
I'm thinking the time between the original Japanese release of Super Mario RPG (March 9, 1996), and the original European release of the same game (August 22, 2008) at 12 years, 5 months, 13 days, has to count for something, in terms of well-known games.
Remember, this is the longest time between a single game being released -- Virtual Console games count as part of the original game, however, remakes (such as the GBA remakes of DKC series) must be counted individually.
