You might love Dragon Ball. You might be a big fan. But you do not have more Dragon Ball merch than Hitoshi Uchida.

For example, one room in his house is dedicated entirely to Goku and filled with 4,000 Gokus! That’s not even the full extent of his collection.

“I quit my job in order to attempt this record,” Uchida says in the official Guinness World Records clip marking his feat.

You can check it out here.

I wonder if the guy was rich when he quit his job, or earn money from doing other tasks while buying Dragonball stuff.

What the...if he quits a paying job, how can he afford more merchandise? This doesn't really make any sense to me ...
But that's a great record

Well... I would suppose that he had collected enough money before quitting the job.

One hopes that he has a good nest egg, though I highly doubt it. I have read on other sites comments that the guy can buy and sell overstock on rare collectibles, allowing him to get enough money to do this.

The guy can sell his other stuff like car, work tools he don't need anymore, house, jewls, and other things which are worth money. If he have enough money, he can probably live off the money he earned from selling his stuff, and his money he earned while he was working.

There are also some jobs like bankers, CEO for big companies, and politician where they can earn a lot of money per year.

There are some people with very rich parents like oil company, and large tech company owners, so they may not need to work if their parents give them a lot of money.

Overstock?
In other words, he purchases more than one figure from the same company.....wow
