This week, a British court convicted Aymen Korbi, 21, of grievous bodily harm for stabbing his wife.

Back in November 2011, a dispute broke out in their home in England after Korbi's wife threatened to leave him. The previous night, the couple had an argument over how much time Korbi spent on playing his PS3. His wife, Aida, threatened to leave with their 1 year-old daughter, but Korbi smashed a bedroom mirror.

"He found the sharpest bit of the mirror and came towards me, saying if I was going to leave he'd kill me," Aida told the court. "I felt my back go funny. That's when I realized I had been stabbed."

Police discovered Korbi, covered in blood, in a neighborhood park. He admitted his crime, but later denied it. According to Aida, her becoming upset with Korbi's incessant gaming was an indication that she "couldn't take the arguments anymore" and he was "unable to change his ways".

I think there is more going on here than just a video game addiction.

Yes, stab your wife in the back over an argument about video games. Some people shouldn't be allowed to reproduce. I feel sorry for the child.

I wonder does the news just make these stories up because they don't have any news. If this is real it's just stupid, people can't control themselves and they need anger management. It's funny that people take their gaming so seriously lol.

It could be me, but it seems like there are more underlying issues here rather than just her nagging over a video game.
That just seems like something that bought the situation to a head. Of course now, every anal mother is going to use
this as an excuse to label video games as violent.

It isn't the fault of the games or the gaming, it's the fact these two people couldn't come to an agreement over their isses. He apparently needed to grow up and she apparently needed to calm down or else shut her mouth and go. If you're leaving then leave, if you want to talk it out then don't make threats - it'll only get you hurt. Honestly, think before you marry. Don't rush into something that isn't likely to last just because you happen to be heavily infactuated.
