I had a Mario Golf game for the GameCube. I had even gotten my hubby to play it a little and he doesn't normally play video games. Now I'm going to have to decide if I'm going to get this game or not.

I played some with my friends yesterday and played very very little of the story mode last night. It's Mario Golf, that's for sure. My only gripe is that Speed Golf and Battle Golf are only 2 player in person and I don't know why. So if you want to play the actual fun modes with more than two people, you need to all have a copy of the game and that's really dumb because you can play with two humans and 2 CPUs, so why can't you do 4 player local? It makes no sense to me. I hope you can unlock playing with 4 people in the other modes. It would be dumb af if they hid that behind a locked wall, but at least it'll be playable. I'll be more pissed if it isn't.
As for the story mode, I only did the tutorial, but it's a standard Mario sports game. It's really funny and charming. It may be worth it alone, but I'm still upset about the fun modes being 2 player only.
