Mario Kart 7 patch now available

Well, as of the System Update that was also made available, the patch is too. To download the patch:
  • Go to the eShop
  • Underneath the main icons there should be smaller icons. Scroll to Mario Kart 7 (which should be on the screen anyway)
  • Download
  • Ignore the present icon - the patch is immediately installed. You will not, repeat NOT, find it on your home screen.
  • Boot up Mario Kart 7. If the patch was successfully installed, on the main menu screen you should see a little Ver 1.1 on the Online selection.
Remember, you CANNOT PLAY ONLINE AS OF MAY 15 (today for most) UNTIL YOU INSTALL THIS UPDATE.
 
Just installed the patch.

Doesn't affect offline play though, you can still cheat against the AI or in time trials.
 
im at a coffee shop right now. I just opened my 3DS to see my swapnotes and it was installed already. it just asked if I wanted to apply the update and I clicked yes. it was a quick patch

This happened to players I was racing, as well hahahahah. If only I could see the look on their faces....
 
im updating mine in a few mins, i wanna c what it says when i try to get on b4 i update. its about time this happened, ill admit, ive done the glitch because every1 else did it, but im glad to c it gone.

I haven't been able to get a single decent race since updating. I'm giving it some time though before I try again.
