Since Mario Party's debut on Nintendo 64 in 1999, the party game series has sold over 39.6 million copies.
According to a post on Nintendo's website, that figure is as of December 2014, and includes the following games: Mario Party, Mario Party 2, Mario Party 3, Mario Party 4, Mario Party 5, Mario Party 6, Mario Party 7, Mario Party 8, Mario Party 9, Mario Party Advance, Mario Party DS, and Mario Party: Island Tour.
The next entry in the series, Mario Party 10, will be released March 20, exclusively on Wii U.
