Nintendo has announced a new Mario Party at Nintendo Direct, called Mario Party Superstars, planned for release on October 29.

Mario Party Superstars looks to be a collection of previous Mario Party boards and minigames, all retooled and remastered for this new title. It includes at least 100 minigames, as well as five Nintendo 64-era returning boards like Peach's Birthday Cake and Space Land.

What's more, Mario Party Superstars includes online play, as well as the ability to randomly match with other players online for play and use stickers to communicate. You can also save your progress mid-game (though it's possible this isn't an online function).
 
This is what Mario Party Top 100 should've been. I really wish they kept the costumes for the MP2 boards, but hey I'll take what I can get. Even if the Peach's Birthday Cake song will now forever be ingrained in my brain.
