At today's Nintendo E3 Press Conference a new Mario game was announced. No, it wasn't a new Mario platformer, but instead a sports game. Only this time it isn't a single sport like tennis or soccer, but a series of them combined in one package.
Coming in 2011, players will have their chance to play Mario Sports Mix. Featuring games like hockey, dodgeball, basketball and volleyball, players will battle on a series of arenas with their favorite Nintendo characters. The fields people play on will also be as quirky as you'd expect, ranging from hockey on the beach to dodgeball on a rolling battlefield that appeared to be Donkey Kong themed.
