Purge day would just mean regular people getting terrorised while they hide in their bunker's or ivory towers with their own private army.

People like him were tolerated because despite their wealth and control of information, anti consumer practices, government policy etc as they were seen as job creators, engines of the economy and etc.

Now that even that will be taken away from us, and the whole Meta (and others soon) machine will exist to make the small cabal at the top richer than god while we get nothing but poverty, unemployment, and resentment. And before the AI takes over, every human employee will be squeezed harder and harder to keep till you break and then replaced. So you get a thinned out middle class and only the labour class who will just eek out a living and the asset owning class who will own everything and don't need to work.

A few dead CEOs will be a small price to pay to avoid this dystopia.

AI replacing all jobs should be welcomed if it means it exists to serve humans, not make it worse for the benefit of the few. Things get a lot worse before it gets better, if it gets better. So if politicians don't address this on a war footing, Luigi Mangione types become inevitable because the billionaire class already owns most governments.

Yea but if our answer is murder, it's not going to stop at dead CEOs. It just means more and more people are going to feel comfortable with killing people they don't like and it's going to get out of hand (if it hasn't already because look at how many murders happen daily).

I'd like to see this but with how the world works, I doubt it'll ever happen. And if it does, the normal folk would just get the scrap.

I think we'd probably have to shift more to communism (is this the word cause I'm no expert on the topic?) or something to achieve that. Basically end capitalism and everyone is neither rich or poor, but gets equal owned property and goods.

I'd envision the AI robots would take care of medical stuff, farming, serving, teaching, etc while every human would need to learn maintenance and evolving the AI robots to do better.

I think the problem with communism is that you can't take wealth away from the people who have it. I really wish we had equal resources from person to person and paid for equal work hours for any gender, cost of living, etc., but anyone who knows a politician would be like, "What about all the jobs where you do nothing all day?" We like those jobs, but we leave them for only the rich trust fund college graduates who have no debt to rule the world.

We already have farm equipment that is so expensive it can pay for itself, and lawyers made their way to say hacking the tractor is illegal, so wouldn't you know it? It's the best option if it doesn't work properly. The first thing any all-powerful government can do is take away your guns like every other nation and evil. Since good and evil can be associated as binary, we take them all away.

I'm not pro killing as the first resort, just one of the last ones. I want this new reality we're racing towards to be addressed before there's disaster. Because if that's what happens there'll eventually be a russian/french revolution type where the system is forcibly reset and you can't trust something like that to really address the core issues but be more reactionary.
We need a new system that takes AI into account and start restructuring our countries' economies. But governments listen to a bunch of oligarchs only who want no change.
