A purge day would be legal killing to do away with the trash in society.

Purge day would just mean regular people getting terrorised while they hide in their bunker's or ivory towers with their own private army.
People like him were tolerated because despite their wealth and control of information, anti consumer practices, government policy etc as they were seen as job creators, engines of the economy and etc.
Now that even that will be taken away from us, and the whole Meta (and others soon) machine will exist to make the small cabal at the top richer than god while we get nothing but poverty, unemployment, and resentment. And before the AI takes over, every human employee will be squeezed harder and harder to keep till you break and then replaced. So you get a thinned out middle class and only the labour class who will just eek out a living and the asset owning class who will own everything and don't need to work.
A few dead CEOs will be a small price to pay to avoid this dystopia.
