I really like the animation. It reminds me a bit of Kiki's Delivery Service and Spirited Away, which makes sense since it's animator worked on Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle (which I've seen a little bit of.) I kind of want to see this.

it's a type of ghibli movie based on a book story. So view it how you wish.
Not sure, if it does get a theater release in the states it won't be very wide.

Hayao Miyazaki, one of the most well known and famous animators in japan (if not all in the world), created several dozen box office record breaking anime films and series and also known as the father of anime. His work and legacy is why we are viewing this trailer on Mary and the Witch's Flower.

His works include, but is not limited to, Spirited Away, My Neighbor Tortoro, Kiki's Delivery Service, Howl's Moving Castle, and as recent as 2013, The Wind Rises. Along with many, many others. Though, I've only seen two on the list I've listed.
