McDonald’s Pokémon Happy Meal Cards

McDonald's is celebrating the 25th anniversary of Pokémon with a special Happy Meal promotion. However, some fans are taking the phrase "gotta catch em' all!" a bit further than expected.

Select locations are selling Happy Meal boxes that look like Pikachu's face. They also come with 50 collectible Pokémon cards, including some rare holographic cards, leading some collectors to buy large amounts of the children's meals so they can collect all the cards. Some fans are waking up early so they can be the first in the stores and buy all the Happy Meals, while others are buying the boxes but throwing out the food. This has led some McDonald's to limit the number of Happy Meals a single customer can buy at a time. Some of the card stock is even being sold online in the boxed packaging for $1,000.

It is amazing how popular Pokemon is after so many years,

It is sad that people are throwing out food, and wasting money by throwing out McDonald's food.

Maybe McDonald's should give an option for people to buy a Happy Meal witha giftcard to use at a later time instead of buying food with a Happy Meal, so food is thrown out by people who only want the Pokemon Happy Meal box and Pokemon cards.

My sister wanted the box and at the meal. Idk what she's doing with the cards, as she doesn't want them. She might have some friends who plays the card game to give them away to.
