I know my friend is excited for this, he loves this series. I feel like there's too many games in the series and I don't exactly know where I would start. Plus they seem more like fan service games than anything.

I'm a fan of the series myself, though I will be very clear, the gameplay completely sucks, it is no good at all. But I love the stories/cut scenes and the character interactions are always amusing. Yes, it is fan service focused but I find it to be in a good way.
