Met an author

What do you think it would be like to meet the author of a book you are reading? Have you met one before? How did it go?
While I have never met any, I would love to see the person face to face. & if there was time, to ask questions i.e. How did they get started? What was their motivation? & most importantly, how do they KEEP that motivation going with fresh new ideas.
 
Well, I know someone that became an author (it's not their primary job, it's something they kind of do on the side). They've signed my copy of their book that I've read. If you like historical fiction/western type books, let me know and I can recommend it to you......it's really good.

Other than that, I've not met an author. I'm not sure what I'd say if I happen to meet one in person.
