Konami has finally announced a release date for Snake's first 3DS outing, Metal Gear Solid 3D: Snake Eater. The game, which up until now was only confirmed as a first quarter 2012 title, will hit store shelves on February 21 in North America. This, paired with the February 7 release of Resident Evil Revelations, should make for a pretty exciting month for 3DS owners.
Metal Gear Solid 3D is a remake of the PlayStation 2 title Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. In addition to the 3D graphics, it will make use of the 3DS system's camera to allow players to take pictures of real life items and turn those photos into camouflage for Snake to wear. The title will also allow players to use the Circle Pad Pro peripheral, which will be released on February 7 as a GameStop exclusive for $19.99.
