The first three Metroid Prime games are coming to the Wii. Metroid Prime Trilogy is a three-game collection for the Wii that bundles the trilogy onto a single disc. Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2 Echoes were legendary GameCube shooters, and the addition of the control scheme from Metroid Prime 3: Corruption isn't the only enhancement. The trilogy will also feature wide-screen presentation and other improvements.
The medal system from Metroid Prime 3 will be added the the first two games, so Samus can collect medals for completing specific tasks, and spend them on concept art, music, or special options.
Metroid Prime Trilogy will be available on Aug. 24 for $49.99, and unlike many older game collection, this isn't strictly for the nostalgic. Metroid Prime 3 is only a couple years old, and if you haven't played it, this is an incredibly bargain. Prime 3 is still the best shooter available on the Wii (in my opinion), and worth 50 bucks by itself.
