Microsoft originally announced Windows 10 as the final version of the software, but it is actively working on a successor and have set a retirement date for the latest Microsoft operating system.

Windows 10 released way back in 2015 and Microsoft was confident enough in the software that it could announce it as the final iteration of Windows. Just like many prophecies, time changed the original sentiment and Microsoft is working to release Windows 11. Windows 10 officially has a retirement date of October 14, 2025, set by Microsoft.

Once Windows 10 has officially retired in 2025, PC fans can expect to stop receiving support for both Pro and Home editions of the software. Microsoft officially announced the end date for Windows 10 in a recent document that has been circulating the internet. As new versions of the software are released, Microsoft removes support for the older versions and that theme will continue into the future. Microsoft hasn't officially unveiled the next version of Windows, but it is working to show off the next generation of the operating system.

Will this include Servers too like 2019 was last Windows Server will there be a newer better one

Hopefully, the next version of Windows will not use a lot of storage space, so users can install the OS on computers with more affordable SSD and hard drives which usually have less storage space.

Server 2022 is rolling out this year iirc.

Usually for the server OS’s they last maybe a year after the standard desktop version ends, with extended support for enterprise environments.

odd, I thought they were going to a cloud base sever mangement. Still, not many tend to jump the gun on server upgrades.

I wonder if the next versions of Windows will ever come with a paid subscription option like Office 365 Personal which cost $69.99 per year.
