Microsoft Cutting Support for Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer 8, 9 and 10, a browser that shouldn't be used, will be discontinued as of January 12th 2016 with MS releasing one final update for it. They do encourage (which I don't) that you upgrade to 11 or change over to their new browser the Edge.

Do you still use old IEs?

I don't use Internet Explorer anymore. I think using Edge browser is not a good idea because I read posts online that is not very reliable.

I don't know which IE version is installed on my PC. I assume I'm using the latest one that is available for Windows 8.1, otherwise I would have been asked to update it...

Plus I doubt people will move to a new browser after getting used to chrome and firefox

Chrome just eats ram like crazy, and have you seen the latest version of Firefox? It's full of bugs and crashes on Windows 8.1 very often.

Chrome does eat ram, Firefox on the other hand is probs my favorite browser. Less ram and works really fine also the privacy is really good with firefox
