Microsoft has confirmed its E3 2015 press conference will take place on Monday, June 15 from 9.30am PT / 12.30pm ET / 5.30pm GMT.

The news comes courtesy of an invite IGN received, and means that day is now looking pretty packed with both EA and Ubisoft hosting conferences later in the day.

Microsoft has not released any specific details about its conference, but Phil Spencer has confirmed that they will announce a "new exclusive IP" at E3 2015.

Interesting... It looks like it's going to be a very busy day... :D So Sony's press conference will probably be the last one at E3, eh? :ermm:
Its always a busy day, I think last year I spent about 6 hours and stayed up till near 3 AM posting news and discussing events here on the forum. Then only to get up early the next morning to tackle Nintendo and the remaining stuff.

And Sony's conference is at night the same day.

I remember been quite busy myself at Gamescom posting threads as fast as I possibly could :D

I think the best thing to come out of here is the lack of Kinect mentioned in the conference.  They just need to let that unneeded add-on die.

I know many people say "MS killed it" and things like that. But for me, their showing was bland.

It was one of those cases with the usual suspects: Halo, Gears, Forza.

Not that they're bad games (since they're not). But how can people get hyped for seeing the same franchises year in and year out?

I have a feeling AR is going to become the new "kinect" for them. I mean the product that they'll keep pushing down people's throats, trying to convince people it's a hit.

It'll be the same as they tried with Kinect.

@above

I agree with that statement. Although VR may not be in a better position, Microsoft should have just focused on VR like the other companies. And no, I don't mean those "vr streaming" partnerships they have with Valve and Oculus.

It's safety in numbers. And right now, Microsoft is alone in the AR field. Whereas VR has a better chance because multiple parties are going all in.

The show was ok. But it was indicative of the company's problem. They seem to ONLY care about the U.S. audience. It's now the third generation where they've had a system. Haven't they figured out yet why Sony is ahead of them?

The PS3 came out a year and a half later than the 360 and still outsold it with a higher price tag once all was said and done.

The PS4 has the higher price now and is STILL outselling the XB1 even in the U.S.

Microsoft needs to wake up and realize you have to cater to the GLOBAL gamersphere, not just the national one. E3 showed exactly why their the ones getting beat so far.

very true, but they seem to hold their own despite staying USA mostly.

I'm hoping next E3 they have some decent stuff. I have a bad feeling that after Halo comes out this fall, MS will be just about dried up. Yeah, I KNOW Gears 4. But Gears 4 doesn't put up the kind of numbers that Halo does.

Are they really though, just look at how the sales story has gone so far. The last time we heard anything from Microsoft was back during the holidays when they said 10 million shipped.

Meanwhile Sony has been giving us the numbers sold which currently stands about 24+  million strong

So if they aren't even outselling Sony in their main home base, lord knows how bad it looks outside the U.S. for them. That's not holding their own, that's getting spanked.
