I wonder if this could mean that soon if you want to buy a PC with Windows on it, you need to buy either the official Windows 8 Surface RT or Pro Tablet, or a Dell desktop, laptop, or tablet with Windows installed on it, and Microsoft stop selling the Windows installer disc and file to buyers, and to other computer makers like HP, Lenovo, and Acer like how Apple does not sell its operating system to other computer makers like HP, Lenovo, and Acer , and forces you to buy an Apple Mac computer if you wantor need to use the Mac OS X operating system.

Hopefully, this means the quality of Dell computers will be better and more reliable, and have better features like touchscreens for lower prices.

seems like a waste of money really. Why help the Dell brand?

I know a few people who bought Dell back in the Windows XP days, and they lasted pretty long. They also have pretty good technical support according to people I know.

I think Dell is still in the top 5 most sold computers in the US.
