Microsoft unveiled it's new Surface tablet and it is pretty sweet! For the first time Microsoft will be handling it's own hardware and software (kinda like Apple) in creating their own tablet that has raised the bar on everything else out there! The thing is powerful, sleek, and fast!

I like the built-in stand, and flexible attachment keyboard. The screen also looks pretty nice.

The Surface will probably make Windows-based Netbooks, and low-end laptops less popular since the surface has most of the features the typical Netbook and low-end laptop users need.

But, the surface possibly won't really affect Apple iPad popularity because a lot of the Apps for iPad don't have a Windows version yet, and Google Android tablets like the Amazon Kindle Fire are only 199.99 or less, and good enough for basic tasks like Netflix, eReading, casual games, etc.

I heard from gaming and computer websites that Windows 8 will be able to connect to the Xbox 360 to play 360 games on the go, or at home with an App, so I think this tablet might be like a portable version of the Xbox 360 where you can use a 360 controller or the Keyboard attachment to play 360 games on the Go.

Plus, this tablet can also play PC games since it uses Windows 8 which can run full desktop programs and games.

I wonder if it can run a full fledged game though? Some games can be taxing on a PC.

Possibly, if it also has a Laptop Gaming video card built-into the Tablet, or the games are optimize for the Surface.

A lot of smaller devices like the PSP Vita can play HD quality games on it, so if this Tablet has better or about the same speed parts as the Vita and other fast hand helds it might be able to play HD games.
