Forget plain old Augmented Reality, this is more like it!

Having people in two different places appear to be in the same room is pretty impressive. If it could be somehow utilised for actual video games, things could get extremely immersive.

Like say, Five Nights at Freddy's with this sort of setup.

On another note though, does anyone else get reminded of Mad Mod from Teen Titans when they see this video?

To some degree, this sort of tech is basically what that guy used in the TV show. He was controlling a virtual avatar in some sort of virtual reality setup, which would seemingly 'interact' with the other characters. You could probably do something pretty similar with this sort of technology...

But yeah, thoughts?

I think the idea in itself is pretty cool but what really impressed me was that it could record the whole session to see it in 3D. That's an unique experience. Goodbye normal cameras.

My family lives in Mexico, so things like this attract me a lot. This for Virtual reality in games also seems pretty cool. Pre-generated 3D models of enemies to fight in real time. A boxing game. A horror game based in your own room, It would definitely open up some interesting ideas.

If that technology becomes easier and more common, maybe entire houses would allow for that, effectively allowing us to basically visit in an instant anyone if they are up for it.

Anyway, pretty cool.
