Mighty Gunvolt, the game packaged with Azure Striker Gunvolt, is getting a hefty update alongside a new piece of downloadable content.
According to the announcement, the DLC will add four new stages featuring various boss characters from Azure Striker Gunvolt, Mighty No. 9, and GalGun. Two of these bosses will be Mighty No. 1 and Mighty No. 7 from Mighty No. 9. The DLC will cost $3. An accompanying update will rebalance enemies, rebalance powers for Gunvolt and Ekoro, and add more hidden items and a new stage select screen.
At the end of this month, Mighty Gunvolt will cease being a free pack-in with Azure Striker. As of November 28, it will be on sale as a standalone game for $4. If you pick up Azure Striker Gunvolte by 8:59 PT on November 28, though, you'll still get the included Mighty Gunvolt. The announcement originally stated that the update and DLC would be coming on the same day, but a correction has since clarified that those are both due at a later date, to be determined.
