Today Microsoft unveiled an all new, slimmer Xbox 360, complete with built-in Wi-Fi support and 250GBs of storage space. The new form factor prompted Microsoft to make some functional changes to the Xbox 360 hardware, most notably the removable hard drive system, which is now smaller and recessed into the base of the console. What does this mean for you? Well, if you were hoping to upgrade to the new model, you won't be able to just pop in your old hard drive and have immediate access to your profile. Instead, you'll have to migrate your data, but how?

USB Storage
The most recent update to the Xbox 360 firmware allows users to store and transfer game data and profiles on a USB storage device. The update supports just about any USB storage device, which means that you can use any flash drive you have laying around. In order to copy data from your old Xbox 360 to the new one, however, you'll have to format the USB device first, so make sure you backup whatever data the USB storage device might already have on it.

Doesn't the USB drive have a 32 GB limit for the 360, but the current premium, elite and special edition 360 uses 60 GB- 250GB drive. MS should make some sort of a transfer cable for the new 350 like when people upgraded their 20GB drive to thr 120 or 250GB elite drives.
