This thread is dedicated primarily to server matchmaking. I will keep a list on this post of all active servers run by N3DSC members. If you would like your server added to the list, please contact me via PM.
In addition to the list, I am planning to set up a server of my own dedicated to special PvP maps like Survival Games, the Walls, or Dustbowl. If you have a suggestion for a PvP map or would like to sign up to be a participant or server host please post here. I will send out the IP via mass PM after enough people have signed up. I will include brief descriptions of the options here:
-Survival Games: Based on the Hunger Games novels, these maps pit 12 or 24 people against each other in a large arena filled with hidden items. Last one standing wins. There are four official SG maps designed by Vareide and a large number of community maps. 12-24 players.
-The Walls: A map where the participants are divided into 4 teams and sent to 4 identical areas, each kept separate from the others by massive walls of sand. Once the game starts, each team has a set amount of time to explore their area. They can mine, build, and loot all they want as long as they make no attempt to go over, under, or through the walls. Once the time is up, the walls fall, and each team is free to roam the entire arena. Last team standing wins. 8-16 players.
-Dustbowl: Modeled after the Team Fortress 2 map of the same name, SethBling and HyPixel's map uses the new console blocks of Minecraft 1.4 to recreate a true TF2 experience, complete with classes, capture points, ammo pickups, and all that. Why don't we just play TF2 then, you ask? Well... that's a good question. But it's no fun.
-TNT Olympics: Another map designed for 1.4, the TNT Olympics uses the new TNT physics to create several Olympic events inside a large stadium, such as the marathon, pole vault, skeet, and the like.
As I've said, any sign-ups, servers, or suggestions can be directed here or to me via PM. Craft away, gents!
DISCLAIMER: Signing up for a PvP map means you agree to be recorded for the benefit of Youtube. If you have signed up or wish to sign up and you are not okay with being recorded, let me know so we know not to record.
