Kinda... I was browsing the eShop and found this game called Cube Creator 3D.

There's a demo and no release date. I bet it won't last long. Mojang and Microsoft will shut that down faster than Batman catches the Joker. Heck they might even sue. I don't know the justice system very well, but if there's a law suit Nintendo might be in trouble. Big John Games though, they'll probably be hurtin' real bad.

Seriously though the eShop is kind of becoming like phone app stores in the sense that it's starting to have blatantly stolen games, which looks bad. Sure this is the first, and maybe it accidentally let it slip through. Either way it's pretty unacceptable from every angle.

I doubt Mojang or Microsoft would sue- there are TONS of voxel based building games that are exactly like Minecraft everywhere. Hopefully they manage to change it up a bit more before release though...

I tried the demo and I kinda like it, now if it's as good as the trailer makes it out to be in the final product..then I'm sold since I prefer handheld games in the first place. Now in terms of this being a law suit issue...it probably wouldn't be on the eshop without them first doing their research. It'll be fine, lots of clones exist, however none are really all that good..though this one has to have something more for it to be "put out" there so suddenly like this. Let's hope it has online play and isn't just another "could have been" opportunity and lack multi player at all

7500 clones on Xbox 360's Indie shop. I have a couple that are actually very good with features the original doesn't have (such as first person shooter with RPG elements, a pattern editer for faster building and landscape construction, and the ability for friends to download the map they are on of yours so they can build in the same world when you aren't on - a feature the official game currently lacks on console versions).

I saw that 3DS demo about a week or so ago but wasn't interested only because of the PS3/Vita version and 360 versions of the official Minecraft that I already own. Well, I WILL own the Sony versions as soon as the hard copy comes out - it is taking its sweet-ass time being released outside of digital.

I may try the demo for it, but I jsut don't see that the 3DS would be powerful enough to run a particularly large world. My fairly new gaming computer still lags when my minecraft worlds get too large, although I'm sure some of that's the coding on them game itself... It'd be interstign to see what sort of a control scheme it would have, not having 2 sticks for movement and looking.

The 360 version lags like an SoB even offline single-player once a lot of torches have been placed in the world. Online co-op has extreme problems for whomever is the host (such as areas that do not render and cannot be entered). With each new update it gets worse. My point is the 360 far exceeds 3DS in terms of hardware and IT has serious problems, so yeah, I doubt that generic clone game will have a large world (although it says infinite which I call BS to) or that it will have a lot of features/ enemies / animal types.

Wow, really? I have the PS4 version, and haven't had too many problems with it, besides for one game breaking bug they fixed (everything in all my chests vanished T_T ) and an audio problem with mob sounds being way too loud- at least, not too many problems so far. That sucks there's so many problems with the 360 version! But yeah, I agree. Minecraft itself is too badly unoptomized anyway to run well, and I doubt any generic version could do much better.?
