Minecraft mods?

I want to install this mod, but I'm confused how...

I was under the impression you just had to put it in the minecraft.jar file in the bin, as sometimes with texture packs, but I'm not entirely sure.

Have you tried that?

Download the modloader files, then open up minecraft.jar in winrar. After that, place the modloader files in minecraft.jar. Delete Meta.inf, and run minecraft. Close out of minecraft, and open up minecraft.jar again. Place mod files in the jar file as directed. Then run minecraft, and there you go.

Yeah, Dan is 100% correct. Just make sure to make a copy of the original minecraft.jar because then you don't have to redownload everything if you want to get rid of the mods.
