With the next major Minecraft update schedule to launch tomorrow, we can't wait to start fiddling around with the game's awesome-looking new cartographical element. Patch 1.6 will add the ability to craft maps that fill in the terrain elements of the world as you explore. That's a welcome feature, but it's not the only new thing Notch is weaving into fabric of his oh-so malleable game world.
Other notable changes found in this update include the addition of tall grass in some biomes, hatches, and Nether support for multiplayer matches. Oh yeah, fire will also spread more slowly, making it tougher to accidentally burn your hard-crafted abode to the ground. Beyond that, the latest update will fix many bugs and add minor tweaks the gameplay.
