Anyone here miss the DS and GB era of games?

I don't miss them. I live for them. A lot of my more recent game pickups have been GBA/NDS games. I have multiple ways to edit save files, play, and even make games (on DS). I wish there were more DS games to play online for free besides Pokémon, but once you've got that staple, a lot of games are cheap enough to try to see the best they have to offer.

I will say, I don’t think the GBA era was that great. Most of my favorite franchises had mid entries and/or inferior ports of older games.

It’s a fairly recent phenomenon with some of these games being beloved because Gen Z and younger Millennials grew up with these games and they’re praising them. Gen III Pokemon and Minish Cap were not universally beloved back then.

I loved Minish cap, felt a little off from Zelda series but still good fun.
