I bet, some of the paid mobile games also do the same tasks like spy on users, and try to sell more DLC and in-app items to them. I think some free games made by fans, or open source organizations like Linux are less likely to do these things in the video to users.

it should be noted, that apps like: App Ops, xPrivacy, Disable Services and Adaway will protect your phone from data stealing apps.

Can these apps be trusted though? Just because their developers claim that they're safe doesn't mean they actually are...

In the end you really can't trust anything, but I know several people who use and swear by them. One being Black Angel
