Developer Infinity Ward today released a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 patch to address the hacking issues currently plaguing the game on PlayStation 3.
In January, a security exploit for PlayStation 3 was discovered by a group of hackers, which later caused headaches for some game developers. Infinity Ward used the PS3's security encryption for Modern Warfare 2, and since hackers figured out a way to bypass it, patching the game through conventional means would not be a long-term solution.
The patch today is supposed to address some of the major issues, however, it's unclear as of now just how effective it's been. Infinity Ward is asking for your feedback on their message board and Twitter accounts.
Patches for Xbox 360 and PC are currently pending.
